Ignacio Bel

Ignacio Bel is a Tenured Professor of Information Law at Complutense University. He holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Navarre. He has taught at the Universidad San Pablo CEU in Spain and in the Diego Portales University (Chile), Piura (Peru) and Panamericana (Mexico). He also holds a degree from IESE Business School.

For forty years his specialties have included Information Law and Corporate Communication. In the latter field he has been communication director of several public and private institutions, highlighting his 25 years as Director of Communication at IESE in Madrid. Consultant in this matter, he has taught in several countries in Europe and Latin America. He has been directing for thirteen years the COSO Foundation Master on Corporate Communication and New Technologies.

He is the author of several books in the field of Information Law, such as El Derecho a la Información local [The Right to Local Information], and has coordinated the publication of several collective works such as El Derecho de la Información [The Information Law]. In the area of corporate communication is the coordinator and author of several books, among which highlights Comunicar para crear valor [Communicate to create value].

Nowadays, and alongside his work as a teacher, he is the managing director of IME (Institute for Media and Entertainment), a research center in the area of communication pertaining to IESE Business School.
