Tomás González

Tomás F. González Cruz is Senior Lecturer in Business Administration at the University of Valencia, Spain. He has got a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Valencia University. Likewise he has got a Doctorate in Business Administration at University of Valencia.

He has worked for big trade distribution companies such as Carrefour S.A. and Mercadona S.A. From 1996 to date he has served as a professor in the Business Administration Department, Valencia University. During this time, he has managed different consulting and in-company training projects for Marks & Spencer; Ford Motor Co.; Blauverd S.A. Morevor, he has been a visiting professor at several Mexican Universities (TEC Monterrey, Hidalgo Stat Autonomous University, University of Guadalajara) and at EHL (Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne).

From 2006 to 2010 he created and held  the Family Owned Business Chair in the University of Valencia. From 2011 to date he serves as a Chancellor’s Advisor for the UV Strategy (‘advancing with QRITERIS’) and is in charge of designing and supervising control and formulation processes.

In addition, he is a member of the ‘Master Oficial de Creación y Gestión de Empresas Innovadoras’ Academic Board (CCA) at the University of Valencia. His main research interests are family owned business direction, quality management, organizational design and talent management, and business ethics, leadership and commitment.
