William English

William English is Assistant Professor of the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. His research interests include ethical persuasion, institutional corruption, experimental social science, and the biological foundations of social behavior. He is currently studying the architecture of public trust and the varieties of corruption in political institutions.

He received his PhD in Political Science from Duke University (Durham, NC), where he also obtained an MA in Political Science, a B.Sc. in Economics and a B.A. in Mathematics. In addition, he holds an M.St. in Ethics from Oxford University (UK). He has received several grants and honors, including the Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant from the National Science Foundation. He has taught at Brown University (Providence, RI) and Duke University (Durham, NC).
