CONFERENCE – My Journey to Flourishing
An Intellectual Sharman Discussion on the topic: My Journey to Flourishing, with an Excursion into Prospective Theorizing
The International Humanistic Management Association (IHMA), a partner center of IECO, organizes this online activity aimed to to Faculty development in humanistic management. Chris Laszlo, Professor of Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, will discuss his own journey to flourishing. Chris will discuss theory building as well as the ontological and epistemological implications of quantum perspectives in the social sciences. He raises probing questions into what prospective theorizing means for you and for the future of research aimed at tackling wicked problems from climate change to social equity.
Prospection (“the mental representation and evaluation of possible futures”) offers scholars a powerful new method for researching with social impact. Quantum science is giving fresh impetus to the idea that prospective theorizing calls forth a reality rather than objectively studying a world “out there”.
This webinar is hosted by IHMA and it is co-sponsored by the Galligan Chair of Strategy at Boston College.
The online conference will take place at 12:00 pm (EDT).
