{"id":30390,"date":"2020-12-03T18:49:28","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T18:49:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iecoinstitute.org\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=10989"},"modified":"2020-12-03T18:49:28","modified_gmt":"2020-12-03T18:49:28","slug":"presentation-a-christmas-carol-and-the-common-good","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/iecoinstitute.org\/en\/events\/presentation-a-christmas-carol-and-the-common-good\/","title":{"rendered":"PRESENTATION &#8211; A Christmas Carol and the Common Good"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"title\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">A deeper look at a beloved classic<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stu.edu\/\"><strong>University de St. Thomas<\/strong><\/a> and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guthrietheater.org\/\">Teatro Guthrie<\/a><\/strong> have invited IECO community to join this event that aims to analyze and explore art, business and ethics in Dickens\u2019s classic \u201c<em>A Christmas Caro<\/em>l\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The event will consist in Reading of excerpts from the play by the Guthrie actors that will be combined with the discussion of a participatory panelist including:\u00a0Joseph Haj, Artistic Director of the Guthrie Teacher; Allison O\u2019Toole, Executive Director of Second Harvest Heartland; and Brian Rosenberg, President-in-Residence of the Harvard School of Education.<\/p>\n<p>During the presentation, the aim is to analyze the transformation that Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes, from being a selfish miser to a good neighbor, and to associate it with the current business world and the leadership in organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The virtual event will be moderated by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/business.stthomas.edu\/faculty-research\/faculty-bios\/michaelson-christopher\/\">Christopher Michaelson<\/a><\/strong>, \u00a0Professor and Academic Director of the Melrose and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/business.stthomas.edu\/centers-institutes\/principled-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Toro Company Center for Principled Leadership<\/a><\/strong>, with live performances by Nathaniel Fuller and Meghan Kreidler.<\/p>\n<p>Live 1 hour and a half video conference, (<strong>11:30am EST<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p>Please, note that this is a free event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guthrietheater.org\/stthomas\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">REGISTER<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A deeper look at a beloved classic The University de&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":30266,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","tags":[],"mec_category":[],"class_list":["post-30390","mec-events","type-mec-events","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
