Ginés Marco

Ginés Marco’s research interests focus on the ethics of managing public goods and the study of the common good. He holds a PhD in Philosophy and Education from the University of Valencia (2004), where he also graduated in Philosophy. In addition, he holds a degree in Law from the National Distance Education University (UNED). From 1999 to 2003, he was a Cinc Segles Research Fellow at the University of Valencia, and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).

His interest in social and ethical issues has led him to teach at a number of different faculties (Philosophy, Law and Business Administration) as well as at business schools linked to several Chambers of Commerce. He is currently Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Valencia. He is also Chair of the Bioethics Committee at the Dr. Peset Hospital in Valencia. In 2010, Diario Médico gave him its Most Influential Person of the Year Award.
