PRESENTATION – A Christmas Carol and the Common Good
A deeper look at a beloved classic
The University de St. Thomas and the Teatro Guthrie have invited IECO community to join this event that aims to analyze and explore art, business and ethics in Dickens’s classic “A Christmas Carol”.
The event will consist in Reading of excerpts from the play by the Guthrie actors that will be combined with the discussion of a participatory panelist including: Joseph Haj, Artistic Director of the Guthrie Teacher; Allison O’Toole, Executive Director of Second Harvest Heartland; and Brian Rosenberg, President-in-Residence of the Harvard School of Education.
During the presentation, the aim is to analyze the transformation that Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes, from being a selfish miser to a good neighbor, and to associate it with the current business world and the leadership in organizations.
The virtual event will be moderated by Christopher Michaelson, Professor and Academic Director of the Melrose and The Toro Company Center for Principled Leadership, with live performances by Nathaniel Fuller and Meghan Kreidler.
