Alejandro Cañadas

Alejandro Cañadas earned his Licentiate in Economics from the Catholic University in Buenos Argentina (UCA), a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Dayton, a Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics from the Ohio State University, and an M.A. in Biblical Theology from John Paul the Great Catholic University.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at the Bolte School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University, where he teaches Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Applied Economic Analysis, and Ethics in Business among other classes at the undergraduate and MBA program. His research interest is on Social Impact Investment and Integral Economics, Happiness and Wellbeing.

Dr. Cañadas has been an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the Catholic University of America, where he has been teaching Neuroeconomics & Behavioral Economics, and Ethics in Development Economics. He has been a visiting professor at John Paul the Great Catholic University, Calvin College and the University of Dayton. Dr. Cañadashas also been a presenter at several institutions as Oxford University, Technological University of Monterrey, University of La Plata, Francisco de Vitoria, Lumsa University,University of Barcelona andIESE, Business School, among others.

Alejandro Cañadas has been a North America regional coordinator for the Young Scholar Initiative (YSI), which is part of the Institute of New Economic Thinking (INET) in New York. He coordinates the Neuroscience and Behavioral Economics Working Group and the Washington DC Group.

Professor Cañadas other areas of interest are Economic Theology, International Finance, Inequality, and Economic Growth and the Moral Implication of Financial and Economic Markets.
